I met this sweet family when Raquel was pregnant. We got together for a family session at Cathedral Park in Portland. Cathedral park is absolutely iconic for the gorgeous arches under the St. Johns bridge, plus the amazing water views! It was so fun to meet such a genuinely loving family as they got ready to welcome a baby boy.

Things that stood out to me in this session: Juliette hugging mama's belly with such awe in her eyes, the special dad/daughter relationship that was so warm and sweet, the way all three were starry-eyed when talking about baby boy... I could go on. Their maternity session was filled with sweet smiles, hugs, laughter, and love.

When baby was born, we set up a day to capture those fleeting, tiny, newborn features. He is such a strong little guy, and managed to stay awake for the whole session! Holding him immediately brought me back to snuggling my babes.... gosh I miss that weight in my arms.

We embraced his energy and caught those peeking eyes, little toes, and grasping fingers. He was most happy when on his mama. Joe (dad) doted on him while we snapped some family pictures. Auntie even jumped in for a couple photos. She is pregnant with her own baby girl, and it was sweet to see her hold and love on her nephew.

I swear every baby session sends me deep into budgeting for another tiny one, but our family is complete. Instead I'll just get my fix with all of the other babies of the world. Send me alllllll your 4-day-old newborn sessions, please and thank you.
