Sunflower Engagement

Sunflowers just scream summer. Long and warm nights, laughter and good music, and- of course- LOVE. Add in golden hour and smokey skies and this session was some sort of summer bubble that I didn't want to burst!

I've always wanted to take photos in a sunflower field. When West Union Gardens in Hillsboro announced that they had a large sunflower field open for use, I HAD to find someone down to adventure! Stephanie reached out, and I'm so glad she did. Kevin and Stephanie were so kind, up for anything, and clearly SO in love. I was so happy to hang with them!

In stark contrast to that lovely day, this week has really felt like fall. The weather is crisper, the edges of the leaves are tinged with orange, and DUH, pumpkin spice lattes are back at Starbs. While I edited this session I felt nostalgic for the summer that's still technically here. Is that a thing? I'm standing by it.
