E & D Waterfall Engagement

oregonelopement

This session. Elena and David met at the coffee shop David worked. Elena would come in and work from the shop, and they fell in love. Do you remember that song by Landon Pigg? I was totally obsessed with this song as my husband and I fell in love, long ago (like over a decade!), over coffee.

"I never knew just what it was
About this old coffee shop I love so much"

They're the embodiment of this song and I just love that so much.

As we drove together to Bridal Veil Falls, we chatted and got to know one another. They are from my neighborhood, so it was fun to compare favorite spots. I love sessions where I'm able to get to know my clients before bringing out my camera. I'm very much an extrovert, and I love making personal connections! I strive to authentically tell your story, and being able to connect first really increases the intimacy of the session.

We walked around and took in the view and the wildflowers, taking our time to look, laugh, and get photos. The Gorge is so beautiful this time of year. The day started out cloudy, but the sun came out when we needed it.

When we made it down to the waterfall, I was just stunned. The light was gorgeous, and Elena and David were so lovely and fun. I feel like the photos convey their absolute love for one another.

Meeting genuine, kind, and fun people is such a gift. Being able to take their photos is an honor. This was one of my favorite sessions ever. Oregon was looking lovely, I laughed through the session with the most awesome couple, and I was able to soak in this gorgeous night. This session will stay with me forever.
