Cape Kiwanda Engagement

Megan and Ryan won my giveaway for a beach engagement session. It is such a small world, it turns out that my mom and Megan's mom work together! From the moment I met them, it seemed like they were meant to win.

As a photographer, I always have a running list of beautiful places in my head. All the time I'm adding to this list. Cape Kiwanda has always hovered at the top. When I organized my giveaway, I decided to give a beach shoot, but let the winner choose where. I love when my clients have some sort of connection to the spot we shoot, even if it is as simple as a desire to see it for the first time. Ryan hadn't ever been to Pacific City, and it was so fun to see him appreciating it as much as I do.

These two had such a light and warm connection. They laughed and joked between authentically tender and quiet embraces. We explored the coast on a truly gorgeous day. We saw whales feeding just offshore, we clambered up the sand dunes, and we watched the sun go down over the cliffs. 

This was such a wonderful evening, I'm so thankful to have met these two!
